Delete your URU account

URU app and URU Tag

The URU app is published on Google Play by Jón Friðrik Sigurðarson. The data controller for the service is URU zone ehf., company registration number (kennitala) 5003230860, Árleyni 8, 113 Reykjavík, Iceland.

Delete it yourself in the app

The fastest route is in the URU app. Open Settings, choose Delete Account, then confirm. This deletes your account and associated data immediately.

If you manage a class that still has other members, transfer or delete those classes first. URU cannot delete the account while those class memberships remain.

Request deletion by email

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, send the request from the email address on your account.

Request account deletion

URU may need to verify your identity before deleting the account. Requests are actioned within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your account and login data.
Your profile and training profile.
Your workouts, programs, and logged sets.
Sensor-derived movement data and per-rep summaries associated with your account.
Your device pairing and diagnostic records.
Your class memberships.
Your stored files.

What is kept

Order records remain after account deletion with the shipping address removed. These anonymised records are kept only as long as accounting law requires.
Crash and error reports remain under the crash reporting provider's own retention window, independently of your account.
